Ford TORQSHIFT™ 10-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
All Super Duty Chassis Cab models now feature the standard Ford Torqshift™ 10-speed automatic transmission, engineered to optimize torque ratios and improve shift performance. You can choose from five modes — Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Eco and Deep Sand/Snow — to suit operating conditions.
Best-in-class payload capacity
With reduced body weight and enhanced base rigidity to make it eight times stronger, the payload capacity of the new generation Super Duty™ Chassis Cab has been increased. This is one of the main reasons why the F-550 has a best-in-class maximum payload rating* of 5,783 kg.
ADVANCETRAC™ Electronic Stability Control with RSC™ and Trailer Sway Control
The Super Duty™ comes standard with AdvanceTrac™ electronic stability control with RSC™ roll control and Trailer Sway Control. AdvanceTrac electronic stability control and roll control use gyroscopic sensors, reduce engine power and selectively apply wheel braking to help maintain control of the vehicle and the trailer being towed.
Storage space behind the rear seat and lockable under-seat storage space
You'll appreciate the convenience of the Super Duty™ interior when you need to move cargo or other items inside the cabin. SuperCab and Crew Cab models feature a flat rear cargo floor for easy loading of large cargo, as well as a lockable, foldable under-seat box integrated into the vehicle floor for storing loose items or items you want to keep hidden and secure. The SuperCab removes the B-pillar and features side-opening rear doors to facilitate unloading or loading of cargo into the cabin.

Best-in-class PTO torque (diesel)
The Super Duty PTO delivers the best-in-class* stopping torque of the Super Duty PTO at 406 Nm, giving you more power to your machines and equipment when you need it.** To enhance efficiency, the proprietary 10-nut mounting pattern External Power Drive PTO Provides a more secure mounting method for larger PTOs in order to take advantage of the increased torque.
Long lasting durability
The Ford Super DutyTM is the toughest, most capable generation of Series 5-3 chassis cabs we've ever built. The cabin is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, and although it is lighter than steel, it is very strong. We took advantage of some of the weight reduction to strengthen the axle, chassis and steering components. The fully boxed undercarriage and C-shaped base frame are made of 95 percent high-strength steel. This means you get the towing and trailering power you can count on to get the job done every workday.
